Premises Liability
Premises liability includes many types of events in and on property such as those involving structural design flaws, unsafe conditions, environmental hazards, improper traffic patterns, negligently placed or dropped items on floors, and a wide range of other issues.
In many cases, security-related premises liability matters involve issues such as physical security standards and generally accepted security practices. In addition to any existing standards, crime statistics, event history, community standards and specific risk considerations play a part in determining whether an event that led to injury or death was foreseeable and therefore preventable.
